LIVE MUSIC - to be continued in 2023

Following the success of our live music nights with the Pete Watkins Originals, Scarecrow and the Rivaleros, we are now looking forward to hosting more bands during 2023.

Our Quiz nights during 2022 were focussed on raising money for small local charities in line with our local community approach. The winning teams nominated the Charity to receive the monies raised. The amounts raised and the Charities that benefitted are summarised below.

The lowest scoring team got to choose the subject content for one of the rounds for the following month and selections were varied - including agricultural equipment, pantomime characters, leaves and trees and classical music!

WINNERS CHOICES FOR 2022

January  - Charity chosen by the winning team was The Banbury Young Homeless Project with a total raised of £115.00

February  - Charity chosen by the winning team was Special Effect which adapts computer games and software for children with severe disabilities. The total raised was £180.00 

March - Oxfordshire Air Ambulance received £115.51

April 5th - Lets Play Project were nominated for a donation of £84.00

May  - Friends of Frank Wise was nominated to receive a total of £49.00

June - Banbury Young Homeless Project  nominated for a second time - £47.00 was raised on the evening

July - Katharine House Hospice was nominated to receive £67.00

August - We had our seasonal break whilst people were away on holidays!

September - Quiz postponed

October - £26.00 was donated to Beekeepers of Nepal with an addition 5000 Nepalese Rupees (approx. £26 to match) was given by a member of staff of The Saye and Sele Arms

November - Funds raised were added to the collection for The Royal British Legion - a total of £98.61

December - Helen and Douglas House Hospice were nominated to receive £85.00

We are not currently operating our Big Steak Night Wednesday feature. This is due to be replaced by our new Grill House Night in 2023.

Steaks are not currently featuring on the menu at present, however, should you require a steak on your visit, please call in advance and we will sourse your steak of choice from our Master Butcher supplier - Steve Betts.
